For a second time in a row, we organized a St. Nicholas Day meeting with Luxmed, combining pre-Christmas atmosphere with health care and education. Also this time, the event attracted great interest of employees, who eagerly used the workshops, consultations and preventive screening examinations.
Health workshops and consultations
The event offered a range of activities for participants to take the opportunity to use:
Breast Self-Examination Workshop
A midwife provided detailed instructions, using mannequins to demonstrate how to perform a breast self-examination the right way. The workshops aimed to increase awareness of breast cancer prevention and teach employees how to early detect lesions of concern.
Diet and Nutrition Consultations
Under the supervision of a dietitian, participants had their BMI and metabolic age checked and then received personalized nutrition tips. It was a great opportunity to learn more about the role of a balanced diet in staying healthy and being well.
Blood Pressure and Glucose Level Test
With quick tests, participants could monitor their basic health parameters. Many used this opportunity more than once, as a practical tool for self-care.
Dermoscopy in cutaneous diagnosis – this year’s new
Dermoscopic examination was a new opportunity during this edition. The great interest in taking the examination only confirmed how important melanoma and skin lesions are among diagnostic needs. Checking skin moles as prevention is a key step towards protecting one’s health.
Christmas integration and surprises
Even if health education was the main focus of the event, there were also festive touches. Participants could use refreshments and enjoy a friendly atmosphere, with small gifts handed out for winter days.
For those who were unable to attend in person, we had prepared an extra surprise. Santa Claus set off for a tour of the factory with a special mission – to convey Christmas wishes and at least a little bit of joy to everyone.
Thank you all for participating and we look forward to meeting with you at the next edition!
