On 23 April, the School Complex with Integrated Classes in Pustków-Osiedle hosted a unique event, combining education, environmental awareness, healthy lifestyles and great fun. The “Healthy You on Healthy Earth” quiz competition showed that caring for the environment can inspire, engage and build integrity attitudes from an early age.
Teams of grade 5–7 students competed to tackle tasks that tested their knowledge, observation skills, logical thinking and creativity. Participants had to recognize spices by smell, identify fruits and vegetables, and perform experiments, making observations and describing the reactions.
Each task was an opportunity not only to learn, but also to collaborate and discover that ecology can be fascinating. The competitors navigated through the quiz with plenty of smiles, surprises and positive emotions.
The event culminated with a grand opening of the anti-smog garden, a deliverable in the “Green Future” project. This green space not only made the school grounds richer but also became a living lesson in ecology. Plants planted in the garden, known for their air-purifying properties, will remind pupils that caring for the environment begins with what we actually do every day.
The the ribbon-cutting ceremony was perhaps the most symbolic and solemn moment, jointly performed by: The School’s deputy headteacher, Aleksandra Zołotar, a pupil representative involved in the project, Wiktoria Sroczyńska and Natalia Malinowska, representatives of the Dębica Community Office, and Dorota Gawle, Marketing Manager and representative of Lerg. This symbolic opening highlighted that the anti-smog garden is an outcome of excellent cooperation between the local government, a local company and the young generation.
Both the garden itself and the competition are fruits of the entire school community and initiative-supporting partners working together hand in hand. Lerg was a proud sponsor of the project, in its commitment to supporting activities that promote ecological education and build environmental awareness among the youngest.
The event is a proof that school is a place where good habits, responsible attitudes and real actions for the future are born.
For our company, being part of this initiative is more than just sponsorship – it is real support for projects that build environmental awareness and promote best practices from an early age. As a partner of the “Green Future” project, we were pleased to contribute to building the anti-smog garden, being sure that education combined with practical action is what the greatest impact comes from.
