On 29th June, 2026, our facility hosted a first aid training course attended by 39 employees representing various departments across the plant. Participants were strategically selected to ensure that every shift maintains coverage by someone with up-to-date knowledge and hands-on first aid skills.

The five-hour session was led by two qualified firefighters from an external firm specialising in emergency response and first aid instruction. The core objective was to prepare employees to respond effectively to health and life-threatening emergencies — covering everything from assessing the situation properly and calling emergency services to administering vital aid to the victim.

The training covered key topics such as managing unconsciousness, choking, wounds, and physical trauma, as well as performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and operating an automated external defibrillator (AED). Special focus was placed on workplace-specific hazards, including thermal burns, chemical splashes, and chemical burns.

The session also included a hands-on practical module. Participants practiced CPR on specialised mannequins paired with tablets that provided real-time feedback on the accuracy and effectiveness of their technique. Every participant had the opportunity to practice CPR firsthand and put their skills to the test in a practical setting. The instructors also shared real-world cases they had personally encountered throughout their careers in the field.

Participants were awarded certificates upon successfully completing the course.
