On 16 June 2026, the Polyester Resins, Polyols & Putties Department, building B203 for regranulate production, held a theoretical and practical fire-fighting drill gathering the department employees.
The main objective was to reinforce the principles of right conduct and procedure in the event of a fire, as well as to refresh the procedures for notifying the production supervision staff and the Factory Fire Brigade.
The practical part was for participants to validate the operation of the Fire Brigade notification system and rehearse using the equipment available in the production hall. The practice covered the operation of powder and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers and an internal hydrant.
The drill program further covered rescue, containment and evacuation operations. Participants improved the existing workflow of operations and joint action with the Rescue Operations Manager (ROM), i.e. the commander of the Fire Brigade arriving at the scene.
The entire drill ran smoothly, in observance of safety rules and with the full commitment of employees and management.
With regular practical exercises, employees build up confidence in using fire extinguishing equipment, providing first aid to injured people, and taking the right actions and decisions in circumstances that dictate evacuation or result from a fire hazard or industrial disaster.
