On June 12, LERG S.A. hosted a study visit by a group of students from the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. The visit was facilitated by Agata Sawka Dr. Hab. Eng. and Alicja Matyjewicz M.Sc. Eng.
The group had an opportunity to learn about our company’s operations and the intricacies of the manufacturing process of synthetic resins, which are used across modern industry sectors. The students deep-dived into the site processes and the actual application of technologies they are taught about during classes at the university.
To ensure the best possible tour conditions, we used an advanced wireless group guiding system during this year’s visit. It enabled convenient information transfer even in places with increased noise levels, so that the students could comfortably follow the agenda of the visit and fully focus on learning about the technological processes operated on the site.
Such visits add value to the educational process, allowing young engineers to better understand the functioning of a chemical company and see how theoretical knowledge translates into real-world technological processes.
We are pleased to have hosted an AGH student visit to our site yet again. We believe that direct contact with modern industry plays a key part in gaining professional experience and developing interests in materials engineering, composites, and advanced chemical technologies.
We thank the students and facilitators for visiting and actively participating in the tour. We hope that the experience from the visit will be a valuable addition to academic knowledge, and the beginning of a professional career in the chemical industry at least for some of the students.
