On 22 April 2026, the 82nd anniversary of the liberation of the former German forced-labour camps in Pustków, a Patriotic and Religious Event was organized on the Mountain of Death, gathering numerous community members to pay tribute to the victims.
Lerg S.A. was represented by Dorota Gawle, Marketing Manager, who laid a wreath at the monument in remembrance and respect for the fallen and murdered.
The celebrations began with a concert by the Dębica Municipal Wind Ensemble, followed by a solemn Holy Mass. The official part then began with the Guard of Honour of the 33rd Light Infantry Battalion at attention, the National Anthem of Poland sung, and a speech to underline the significance of the place as a symbol of suffering and a warning to future generations.
The celebrations culminated with a Roll Call of Remembrance, which ended with a gun salute of honour and the laying of wreaths. The ceremony gathered representatives of the administration, uniformed services, organizations, families of former prisoners and a crowd of young people.
The main message of the event was “No War Ever Again” meant as an appeal for responsibility, cultivating historical memory and building a future based on peace and mutual respect.
