On 19 November, the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Public Primary School with integrated classes in Pustków-Osiedle hosted environmental workshops for kids. It was a third meeting under Lerg’s Environmental Program addressed to primary school kids in grades I-III from Dębica Community.
This year’s event was divided into two parts, one with physical activities and the other with workshops. The physical activity part was a role-playing game, where kids could become characters in the story by taking on the roles of eco-heroes, solving tasks and puzzles related to the environment, and participating in various forms of physical competition. The other part gave kids an opportunity to unleash their imagination and create a beautiful picture of a tree using bark, reindeer moss, jute string and other artistic aids.
The educational program for the youngest sets out to develop wise human-nature coexistence attitudes, raise environmental awareness and grow a sense of responsibility for the natural environment in which we live, or in other words, to nurture kids’ caring attitude towards the world of plants and animals and a sense of concern and responsibility for the current and future quality of life on Earth.
The Lerg workshops were led by facilitators from the Land of Good Fun, and were attended by a total of 101 children.
See you all in the next editions!
