Santa Claus Day meeting with LUX MED: Health in Festive Atmosphere
On 6 December we had a special Santa Claus Day meeting that combined the festive atmosphere with focus on health. The event enjoyed huge turnout, being an occasion to take part in workshops and use medical consultation.
A breast self-examination workshop was on top of the event’s agenda. A LUX MED midwife provided detailed instruction on how to perform a self-examination the right way. It was a great opportunity to raise awareness of breast cancer prevention and early identification of changes and signs of concern.
Diet and nutrition consultations were also available during the meeting. A LUX MED dietitian calculated BMI, metabolic age and provided personalized advice on healthy eating. It was a unique opportunity to learn more about a balanced diet and its health impacts.
Participants could also opt for a test of their blood pressure and glucose level. The health check was fast and free of charge. Some even ran the test for a number of times.
In addition to the key component of health education, the event was full of Christmas accents. A light refreshment with delicious cookies and seasonal winter tea proved a real treat for participants and gave an excellent opportunity for casual social chats. Upon closure, everyone received a small souvenir gadget – warm socks with a Christmas motif.
